Dr. LaMotte provides psychosocial care within the Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology & Stem Cell Transplant, and previously the Division of Pediatric Nephrology, at Riley Hospital for Children.

Psychosocial Services

Directs psychosocial care for the Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology & Stem Cell Transplant — integrating psychological assessment and intervention into the medical team's day-to-day work with children and families.

Healthcare Transition Program

Directs the transition program within the Comprehensive Sickle Cell Program, preparing adolescents and young adults to carry their own care into adult medicine.

Neurocognitive Screening Clinic

Built and studies a screening clinic that identifies learning and cognitive effects of sickle cell disease early, so school and clinical supports can follow.

Sickle Cell Story Club

A clinic-based literacy program that puts books children see themselves in into their hands at every visit. Now in its fifth year, with over 5000 books given away.

Coping @ Home

Home pain management kits for sickle cell disease, giving families non-pharmacological coping tools to use before pain escalates to an emergency visit.

Training & Supervision

Associate Program Director of the Pediatric Psychology Fellowship, and clinical supervisor for psychology interns, externs and fellows across IUSM.
